Am i losing my shit?

You’re holding it all together but it’s starting to feel like too much.

Therapy for women navigating stress, burnout, and the mental load of daily life.

You love your career and your family.

But sometimes motherhood or life brings up feelings you didn’t expect.

You’re juggling work deadlines, daycare pickup times, and the mental list that never seems to end.

You’re trying to keep the house running, answer texts, plan meals, and remember the million little things no one else notices.

Somewhere between the emails, the laundry, and bedtime routines, you catch yourself thinking:

Why does this feel harder for me than it seems to for everyone else?

Now imagine this…

What if the problem isn’t that something is wrong with you…

but that you’ve been carrying more than anyone ever helped you process?

The overwhelm, the self-doubt, the pressure to get everything right — these often come from patterns that were learned long before you became a mother.

Therapy can help you understand those patterns and begin shifting them with more awareness and self-compassion.

Not so you can become a perfect mother.

But so you can become the mother you always hoped your child would have — and the one you once needed yourself.

If you’re exhausted from trying to do everything right, wondering why life feels heavier than you expected, or catching yourself thinking “what the eff is wrong with me?” after a long day — therapy can help.

Schedule a free consultation and we’ll talk about what’s going on and what support might look like for you.

Hello, I’m Leah Harlan.

I’m a therapist who works with women who feel like they’re carrying more than anyone realizes.

You might be juggling work, parenting, relationships, and the quiet pressure to get everything right — all while trying to break patterns you grew up with.

Therapy with me isn’t about judging your parenting or telling you to “just relax.”

It’s about understanding why certain moments feel so heavy, making sense of the patterns that shaped you, and helping you move through motherhood with more clarity, steadiness, and compassion for yourself.

STEADIER DAYS

Feel calmer and more grounded in the middle of a full life.
Instead of living in constant mental overload, you begin to experience more steady moments throughout the day — clearer thinking, less spiraling, and the ability to move through challenges without feeling overwhelmed.

 THE RESULTS:

Over time, many clients begin to notice…...

CONFIDENCE IN YOUR DECISIONS

Trust yourself instead of second-guessing everything.
Many high-achieving women struggle with self-doubt beneath the surface. Together we work toward building clarity, stronger boundaries, and the confidence to move through life with more certainty.

A MIND THAT CAN REST

Quiet the constant pressure to hold everything together.
Therapy can help you release the endless “shoulds,” reduce anxiety, and create space to breathe again — so your mind doesn’t feel like it’s running a marathon all the time.

JOY THAT FEELS REAL AGAIN

Reconnect with the parts of life that feel meaningful.
When anxiety and burnout lift, there’s room again for laughter, creativity, and the small moments that make life feel rich — not just manageable.

If you’re ready for things to feel different, I’d love to talk with you.

These examples reflect common experiences shared by clients, but individual results vary. Therapy is a deeply personal process, and specific outcomes are not guaranteed.

You have some questions & I have some answers

  • Both! I have an office in Prince George, Virginia or I can meet virtually as long as you are located in Virginia.

  • I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly—but many clients still use their benefits. You can pay using:

    • Out-of-network insurance benefits (I can bill those directly for you)

    • HSA/FSA accounts

    • Credit/debit cards

This means that we have no time limits on our sessions, no required diagnosis, and full flexibility in your care. My session fee is $225 for 50 minutes.

  • I reserve spaces for new patients and we should be able to begin within a few days.

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish consistency. Over time, some choose to shift to biweekly sessions depending on goals, progress, and scheduling needs. Frequency is always discussed collaboratively and revisited as needed.
